Juliet has an MA in Applied Linguistics and her research has confirmed how children learn language as they are exposed to words in interesting and entertaining contexts. While doing research at the Kamehameha Schools in Hawaii, she found that children learned more vocabulary from stories when they were actively engaged in the story.
Juliet Fry, as educational consultant on the project, has developed many unique educational goals and methods. The series also employs an interactive learning model so successful in programs such as Blues Clues and Dora The Explorer.
The co-author's children's book "Hoku, the Stargazer" based on one episode by Ellie Crowe and Juliet Fry and illustrated by Kristi Petosa-Sigel will be released in Summer 2008.
